Bay Phil Youth Orchestra Presents a Show of Joy and Beauty

On Saturday January 13th, the Bay Phil Youth Orchestras (Melodia, Bravi, and Virtuosi) gave a concert that was a lovely mix of beautiful music under the baton of its Artistic Director Judy Lam and Melodia conductor Marcella Schantz.

Special guest appearances included prize winners of the Bay Philharmonic’s Young Artist Competition, Xin Ran Shi and Meining Wu, performing virtuosic piano pieces. Even Bay Phil’s Artistic Director Jung-Ho Pak conducted a rousing version Auld Lang Syne as a farewell to 2023.

We’re so thankful for County Supervisor David Haubert and Field Director Kathy Kimberlin for their support of our special program serving so many talented students from Alameda County.
