Bay Philharmonic Guild Holds Regional Artists Competition

On Saturday, January 6th the Bay Philharmonic Guild presented our prestigious 55th annual Young Artists Competition for talented young musicians ranging from ages eleven to seventeen, and was open to piano, woodwinds, brass and percussion. This highly competitive audition features the most talented musicians from the entire Bay Area.

This year, the judges awarded 1st place to Xinran Shi (piano), 2nd place to Connor Rohamm (piano), 3rd to Katelyn Deng (piano), and the Alvin Dockter Award to Meining Wu (piano).

Our next upcoming event will be the Young Recitalist Competition on March 23rd at the First United Methodist Church in Fremont. This competition is open to musicians on all instruments looking for an opportunity to perform in front of a large audience with other talented artists.The winning finalists will be presented on April 21st at the same location. We invite you to hear these extremely talented young performers at their best!
